Personal workspaces
One person governing their own agents: a monthly allowance, a never-pay list, a card per agent, approvals on your phone and one switch that stops everything. The same identifiers and evidence a company gets, with defaults for a person.
A personal workspace is you and your agents. It runs on exactly the machinery a company uses: agents with stable ids, signed mandates, receipts, the card rail, the kill switch and a ledger you can verify offline. What changes is the defaults.
#Set up in one step
Choose Personal when you sign up (or create a personal workspace from the workspace menu). Set up applies the defaults below; change any of them later.
| Setting | Default for a person | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Allowance | £250 a month across every agent | one number you can say out loud |
| Never pay | betting, crypto exchanges and money transfer services | the ways a card turns back into cash, refused before any mandate is read |
| Ask above | £25 per payment, and any new merchant | small errands just happen; anything else asks you |
| Approvals wait | 30 minutes, then lapse | an unanswered request is a no |
| Prompts | sensitive details redacted before they reach a model | a card number pasted into a chat stays out of it |
| New agents | start as interns | they earn more on evidence, one rung at a time |
The card rail also refuses, at the card, merchant codes for quasi-cash, money transfer, gambling and securities, whatever a mandate says.
#Add an agent
Add an agent takes a name, what it may spend a month and what it may ask for above. It registers the agent, signs a monthly payment mandate for it, and issues its key once. Connect your card issuer under Cards first and you can give the agent its own virtual card in the same step, so one agent’s card can be stopped without touching the others. Alone in your workspace, you connect the issuer and bind cards yourself; there is no second owner to wait for.
#Approve from your phone
Pair your phone (the console shows the link) or allow notifications in the browser, and approvals reach you there. Above the step-up line the phone asks you to prove it is you before it approves.
#The kill switch
Stop everything freezes every agent at once: every outstanding receipt is void, every pending approval is cancelled, and every card on the rail declines. Lift the freeze agent by agent when you are ready.
#The same evidence
A personal workspace’s records are the same records a company’s auditor reads: the receipts merchants verify, the decisions with their reasons, and a hash chain you can check offline.
